OUR PHILOSOPHY

Supply Chain is a broad term that encompasses many aspects of a business.  It describes the system of organizations, people, activities, information, and resources involved in moving a product or service from supplier to customer.  While the makeup of a supply chain will vary from industry to industry, their are some underlying principles that are universal.  At Tri-Logic Solutions, we believe in a connected supply chain where all of the links are working together for the benefit of the whole.

Purchasing for Value

When it comes to purchasing, we believe in buying for value.  When you buy for value, you adopt a global view of the vendor relationship.  A trap that most organizations fall into is that they purchase on price alone.  Price needs to be a strong consideration as all businesses should work to control expenses, but if you ignore the aspects of Quality and Service, you run the risk of costing your organization more than you saved on Price.  We call this viewpoint the Value Triangle.

The key component of the Value Triangle is Quality.  Service can be adjusted and prices can be negotiated.  If the required quality levels are not met, the engagement will fail.  That is why we place it at the top of the pyramid.

For each situation, the acceptable levels of quality, service, and price will be different to meet the need at hand.  There may be some materials where quality is not as vital and price and service become the main driving factors behind purchasing selections.  There might be scenarios where a high level of quality is a must and the price becomes almost irrelevant.  We must constantly adjust the Value Triangle to achieve the best outcome.

Strategic Partnerships

Across the board, vendors should be viewed as partners with an organization.  At Tri-Logic Solutions, we believe in creating value-add relationships with key suppliers, committing to working with those key suppliers, and being good partners with them.  We also believe in keeping those relationships honest and holding suppliers accountable for the services they provide.  This is achieved when you have open and honest communication with suppliers, you monitor and track performance, and you conduct periodic market bids to ensure the best vendor partnership is established and maintained.

Fair and Reasonable Contract Terms

It's no secret that contractual Agreements are skewed to the writer, and rightfully so.  One purpose of an Agreement is to protect.  As a business owner you would want to do everything you can to protect yourself and contracts offered by vendors reflect that principle.  It is absolutely possible though to have contractual terms that are fair and reasonable and offer protection to both parties.  Tri-Logic Solutions is committed to rigorous review of contractual Agreements and negotiating with vendors in good faith to reach an equitable agreement that benefits all parties.  This is an area that we are truly passionate about.

Efficient Processes

Purchasing and operational processes should be streamlined and efficient, reducing waste in all its forms.  Employees should be empowered to do their jobs with appropriate oversight.  Purchasing and operational hierarchies and controls are vital to the health of an organization.  An organizations should work with their vending partners to find ways to constantly improve the process by which they operate together for gained effectiveness on both sides and continuously examine internal processes for improvement as well.  A dedicated focus on continuous improvement will allow an organization to grow and accommodate that growth.
